Uniform Care
Show Choir Uniform Care -

1. Do not eat or drink in uniform.
2. When changing clothes, please be very careful. Costume changes in the show
should be practiced at home so that each person can figure out the best way for
them to be able to change quickly and not hurt the outfits.
3. Report damage done to outfits to Mr. Farrell or a chaperone immediately.
Sometimes a quick fix can be applied and/or something can be done to save the
outfit.
4. Do not sit on the ground, floor, risers, etc. when in uniform unless
instructed to do so. The white suits will not last long if students are sitting
in them too often. Look at all chairs and benches before sitting down to avoid
sitting in something that could ruin the uniform.
5. The mesh-material on the dresses is very easy to rip. Please be very
careful when putting on the velcro bottoms to the skirts. Also be careful when
moving the dress or putting it in the garment bag.
6. Guys, do not touch your face with your suit when in make-up. Make-up is
very hard to get out of the suit and may leave a permanent stain.

Uniform Cleaning -

Opener Dresses may be hand-washed only. The best place to do this is in a clean
bath tub. It is best to use "Cot'n Wash" a brand of soft detergent to clean the
dress. Do not dry them in the dryer. They may hang to dry and may take a couple
of days to do so. They may not be dry-cleaned. Doing so will ruin them.

Closer dresses may be cleaned in much the same way. The need to be turned
inside out. DO NOT hang them to dry. Lay them on a towel and gently roll them
up being very careful not to bend the sequin dots on the dress. You may have to
polish the dots back to brightness... Sorry...

Guys outfits may be dry-cleaned only. We have a deal with Porters Dry Cleaning
where they will give us the listed prices below. All you need to do is take in
your outfit pieces and let them know that you are a TVHS show choir person. We
will not be taking the outfits in to the cleaners in groups, although there is
not a reason why you can not do so in small groups if you wish. The group
discount listed below will be the same either way. Let the dry cleaner know if
there are any spots so that they can try to take care of them.
