This is the beginning of Eric Farrell's
second year of teaching at Teays Valley High School and his fifth year teaching
in other schools. Eric has earned his Master's Degree in Music Education at the
University of Illinois as well as earning two Undergraduate Degrees in Music
Education and Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University where he was
on an Academic as well as a Music Talent Scholarship. He then spent three years
teaching students 7th-12th Grade at Bryan City Schools in Bryan, Ohio as well as
a counselor for the Illinois Summer Youth Music Program.
Eric is currently responsible for five choirs at Teays
Valley High School: Concert Choir, Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, Symphonic Choir
and the Show Choir Prominent Rendition, comprised of over 200 students. Eric has
had a wide variety of performance experience and has performed professionally
across the globe in countries such as Germany, Austria, Italy, France, The Czech
Republic, as well as in Canada and the United States. He has performed leading
roles in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Godspell, The Secret Garden
and The Last Five Years. He has also performed in operas such as The
Mikado, The Gondoliers, The Merry Wives of Windsor and The Magic Flute.
Eric has performed in choral masterpieces such as several Verdi Opera
Choruses, Mozart's Requiem, Rutter's Gloria and Faure's Requiem.
Eric is also an accomplished director having directed Musicals such as The
Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes and Children of Eden.
Professionally, Eric is a member of The Ohio Music
Education Association where he as performed as a soloist at the State
Convention. He is also a member of the American Choral Directors Association
and the Ohio Choral Directors Association. Eric is an accomplished adjudicator,
private voice instructor, performer and director.
Mr. Haines is well-known throughout the
United States as a top producer, choreographer and entertainer. As a clinician,
he has gained recognition for his creative choreography as well as his dynamic
personality. This is Andy's 10th year working with Prominent Rendition.
He has been a freelance choreographer for
more than 20 years and has choreographed over 75 musicals. These include 10
Showstoppers National Show Choir Champions and many Grand Champion Show Choirs
nationally.
Andy has danced professionally in
Vaudvillities and for the USO. He has done workshops for Disney, ACDA, MENC,
OMEA and other state music organizations. He even choreographed and judged for
the Miss America Program. He has also directed the national tour for Christian
recording artist, Sandy Patty.
Ms. Burdett joined the staff of Prominent
Rendition as an Instrumental Combo Coach in 2006. She teaches percussion at
Ohio Wesleyan University and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at The Ohio State
University. As a graduate assistant, she has had the opportunity to conduct the
OSU Percussion Ensemble and solo with the group. Ms. Burdett has also worked as
conductor and steel band director for the Greater Columbus Youth Percussion
Ensemble. Since 1997, she has been the Percussion Instructor for Teays Valley
High School, where she directs the percussion ensemble and instructs/arranges
for the Marching Percussion Section. Ms. Burdett received her MM, BM and BME
Degrees from The Ohio State University, where her Instructors have included
Susan Powell, Joseph Krygier and Michael Bump.
